The Certificate of Competency – Theory course provides education and examination in the theoretical part of the Certificate of Competency. The syllabus includes, among other subjects, collision regulations, navigation, and maritime safety.
With the knowledge and skills gained through the Certificate of Competency, you will be able to navigate the sea safely and confidently. With an understanding of right-of-way rules, nautical charts, buoys, beacons, and general maritime safety, as well as solid navigation skills, you will no longer be a stranger on the water, but a skipper, sailor, and seaman in your own right.
In addition to the clear safety benefits, the course enhances your enjoyment of sailing and gives you a strong sense of belonging at sea.

Speedboat certificate
Speedboat certificate at Watergames
Get your Speedboat certificate with Watergames through professional instruction and hands-on training. The course combines self-study theory with practical boat handling in modern motorboats.
You will learn collision regulations, buoyage, right-of-way rules, maritime safety, compass steering, high-speed manoeuvring, man-overboard procedures, and safe harbour docking.
Complete your Speedboat Licence in just one day, on a weekday or weekend, with experienced instructors and a relaxed examination process. Private group courses are also available.
You can participate in all speedboat courses in our calendar as an English speaker, as the courses are designed for both Danish and English participants. All course materials are also available in English.
VHF/SRC – Online course

The VHF/SRC course prepares you for the SRC exam (Short Range Certificate), allowing you to operate a maritime VHF radio and register your radio with a call sign.
The online course consists of 8 modules with video lessons and test questions, including a total of 2 hours and 26 minutes of video instruction. You also get access to multiple practice exams that closely match the official test.
Yachtskipper 3
Only as private course
The Yachtskipper course is offered exclusively as a private course in English. It provides advanced theoretical and practical training in navigation, seamanship, and maritime safety for those seeking higher-level skipper qualifications.

Jetski course
(Personal Water Craft)
Our teaching is pedagogically structured so that everyone can participate, regardless of background or experience. Our experienced instructors place a strong emphasis on safe operation and ensure that you have a positive learning experience.
The course consists of both theory and practical training. In the theoretical part, you will learn about collision regulations, buoyage systems in Danish waters, right-of-way rules, and maritime safety. The theoretical part of the Personal Watercraft (PWC) Licence is identical to the theoretical part of the Speedboat Licence and is completed as self-study, based on Watergames’ theory compendium for the Speedboat Licence. You should expect to spend approximately 2–3 hours on this part before the course day.
The practical training takes place either on your own personal watercraft or on one of Watergames’ PWCs. Here you will learn how to control the watercraft and practise various manoeuvres.
The course day begins with practical instruction and exercises on the water, where a Watergames instructor will teach you everything required for the practical part of the PWC Licence. During the day, there is usually also time to review the theory. Afterwards, the examiner will assess your theoretical knowledge and observe you performing the various manoeuvres on the watercraft.
If you already hold a Speedboat Licence and/or a Certificate of Competency, you will receive credit for the theoretical part of the exam. The course duration and the price for the course and exam remain the same.
